Instructions
Dry the salmon with kitchen towels, then season it with salt and pepper.
Heat up the pan with oil over medium high heat, pan sear the salmon skin side down for 4 minutes, then flip over to cook for another 4 minutes and set it aside on a plate.Pro Tip: If you want to make your stainless steel pan nonstick, perform the mercury ball test: If water droplets sizzle and evaporate, the pan isn’t ready yet. However, once the water dances on the surface like balls of mercury, the pan is ready.
For the glaze, turn down the heat and cook the minced garlic and ginger until fragrant, this takes about 30 seconds. Add in the light soy sauce, oyster sauce and honey to combine.
Pour the sauce over the salmon and serve with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and green onions.
