Ginger Beef in 30 minutes with this super easy recipe

This is one of the first dishes I learnt from my mom, and it has firmly become one of my go-to recipes for easy and delicious beef! Tender beef with flavorful sauce and aromatic ginger is perfect for days when you’re craving some quick Chinese-style beef without splurging on a full blown steak or Korean BBQ.

At the heart of the 30-Minute Ginger Beef recipe is the succulent beef flank steak. This cut of beef is renowned for its lean yet flavorful profile, making it the perfect choice for stir-frying. When sliced thinly and marinated properly, the beef becomes incredibly tender and absorbs the rich flavors of the marinade.

30 Minutes Ginger Beef

Tender beef with flavourful sauce and aromatic ginger is perfect for days when you're craving some quick Chinese-style beef without splurging on a full blown steak or Korean BBQ.

Ingredients

  • 300 g beef flank steak sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger sliced
  • 1 red chilli sliced
  • 1 spring onion cut into 2 inch lengths

Marinade

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Marinade the sliced beef with cornstarch, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, cooking oil, grated ginger and salt. Mix well and marinade for 15-20 minutes.
  • Heat up the oil in a pan on medium high heat. Stir fry the garlic, ginger, spring onion (white part) until fragrant.
  • Pour in the marinade sliced beef and give it a quick stir fry. Then, add in some hot water for sauce.
  • Garnish with spring onion and chilli, then serve!
