Plum Pork Ribs

I’m excited to share with you a recipe that tastes absolutely incredible โ€“ Plum Pork Ribs. This dish is a delightful blend of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors, with tender pork ribs bathed in a luscious plum-infused sauce. Your family will be licking the sauce off the plate, and kids will absolutely love it too!

At the heart of this recipe lies the humble pork ribs. To ensure optimal flavor and tenderness, it’s important to blanch the ribs briefly before cooking. This step not only removes any impurities but also preps the ribs for absorbing the rich flavors of the sauce.

Speaking of the sauce, a harmonious blend of ingredients come together to create a complex and deeply satisfying flavor profile. The sweetness of sugar melds with the aromatic notes of ginger, spring onions, and star anise, creating a tantalizing base for our sauce.

One of the key players in this sauce is the Chinese dried plum, which lends a unique sweet and tangy flavor to the dish. Paired with the umami richness of oyster sauce and the subtle saltiness of soy sauce, the dried plum adds a delightful depth to every bite.

As the pork ribs simmer away in the flavorful sauce, they soak up all the deliciousness, resulting in meat that’s tender and bursting with flavor. The addition of white vinegar adds a subtle tanginess that cuts through the richness of the pork, balancing the dish perfectly.

After simmering gently for 20 minutes, the sauce thickens, coating the pork ribs in a glossy, irresistible glaze. It’s a moment of anticipation as you lift the lid and are greeted by the aroma of the simmering sauce.

Finally, it’s time to indulge. Each bite of these Plum Pork Ribs is a revelation โ€“ tender, succulent meat infused with the complex flavors of the sauce. The sweetness of the plum, the richness of the pork, and the aromatic spices all come together in perfect harmony, creating a dish that’s truly finger licking good.

Whether you’re cooking for a special occasion or simply craving something comforting and delicious, Plum Pork Ribs are sure to delight your taste buds and leave you craving more. So why not give this recipe a try and experience the magic for yourself? Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.
