Ingredients

  • 260 g minced pork
  • 55 g preserved vegetables
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 2 tsp light soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 spring onion chopped
  • Some ginger
  • cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  • Finely chop the preserved vegetables and add it to the minced pork in a mixing bowl.
  • Add water, Shaoxing wine, light soy sauce, pepper, sesame oil, cornstarch, sugar, spring onions and ginger into the mixing bowl.
  • Mix everything together until the mixture turns into a sticky, smooth paste.
  • Spread the mixture evenly onto a plate and place it on a steamer. Steam it over high heat for 10 minutes.
    Pro Tip: Make sure the water is boiling in the wok / pan and that your stove is still on high heat when you place the minced pork in.
